Fall Internship The intern will be placed in the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau. Legal interns generally will be given assignments related to projects arising from the work of Bureau's Consumer Policy Division (CPD), Disability Rights Office (DRO), Office of Native Affairs and Policy (ONAP), and Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA). Some interns may focus primarily or solely on the work of one Division/Office, and some may receive assignments from a variety of them. Interns also may be given assignments related to special projects arising out of the Office of the Bureau Chief. Will have the opportunity to engage in legal research and writing in conjunction with rulemakings or in support of the work of various Task Forces. They also may be given assignments related to special projects on an ad hoc basis. May gain experience reviewing and analyzing trends in consumer inquiries and complaints, as well as comments filed by industry, other governmental entities, and consumers as part of the rulemaking process. Law students are considered.
