Job Description:

Duties:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of experienced attorneys to provide comprehensive legal services in labor, employment, and employee benefits law.
  • Engage in counseling and litigation related to ERISA, employee benefits, and general civil litigation tasks.
  • Manage various legal cases from inception through resolution, including trial preparation and trial.
  • Conduct detailed and complex legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and agreements.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their legal needs and provide tailored advice.
  • Participate actively in the development of strategies to help clients manage employment-related risks.
  • Contribute to business development activities such as client seminars, newsletters, and other outreach efforts.

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the Georgia Bar.
  • Possesses 2-3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting, preferably with exposure to ERISA/employee benefits or general civil litigation.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to develop expertise in ERISA and employee benefits law.
  • Exhibits excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Committed to fulfilling a minimum annual billing requirement of 1,900 hours, with potential bonuses for additional hours.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Georgia Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong labor and employment law foundation, with a preference for knowledge in ERISA and employee benefits.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
