Portland office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a senior estate planning attorney with 8+ years of experience practicing estate planning. The candidate will execute case strategy with associate attorneys, paralegals, clients, and support staff. Will manage the complex estate and tax planning which includes drafting estate planning instruments such as wills and trusts and filing gift tax returns. Manage complex probate and trust administration matters, which includes, overseeing the entire administration process and the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns. Research complex tax issues. Manage own caseload. Keep clients informed by maintaining regular contact, communicating case progress, and working with Certified Public Accounts, Financial Advisors, insurance brokers, beneficiaries, and other legal counsel. Provide mentorship to associate attorneys. Attend business development and networking functions with firm leadership and solo. Must have knowledge of complex estate and tax planning. Should have an active Oregon State Bar membership. Washington State Bar membership is a plus. An . in tax planning is a plus. Must have demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365. Must have experience preparing and filing estate tax returns (federal and state) and gift tax returns.
