Paralegal III - Derivatives and Foreign Exchange Responsibilities: Assist the derivatives and foreign exchange attorneys in providing legal services to derivatives and foreign exchange lines of business. Follow law department policies and procedures in carrying out responsibilities. Read and analyze documents within parameters established by the derivatives and foreign exchange attorneys. Functions will include the review of various legal agreements including but not limited to (i) syndicated credit agreements for covenant restrictions on and requirements for derivatives and foreign exchange, (ii) security agreements, guaranties and other credit support documents as they pertain to these products, (iii) inter-creditor agreements and (iv) preparation of memoranda summarizing the results of the review. Assist with the closing of transactions including facilitation of execution and retention of legal documents. Review and draft documents relating to ISDA Master Agreements including work out documents, termination and valuation notices. Open and maintain legal matters including engagements of external counsel. Review and manage process for review of confidentiality agreements. Assist with regulatory implementation and compliance related matters. Provide back-up coverage as needed for team members (e.g., providing coverage of derivatives hedge transactions email box and trust agreement hedge reviews).

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: A BS/BA degree or higher. 6+ years of paralegal experience. 3+ years of focused practice in a concentrated area of law. Desired: Financial services industry experience. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills. Strong research skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment. Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills. Ability to proactively manage and mitigate issues. Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment. Significant paralegal, documentation or transactional experience (5+ years) with a law firm, federal regulatory agency and/or financial services organization. Proven track record in working with attorneys. Corporate transactional background. Deadline: 03/19/2018
