GENERAL ATTORNEY/INSD Embedded AGC Position (COIU)
The candidate will provide legal advice to all levels of INSD management on a variety of subjects, activities, and functions concerning external audits and investigations, including inter alia Reviewing, scoping, prioritizing, and responding to document requests. Attending opening and closing conferences. Preparing witnesses for interviews. Reviewing draft OIG/GAO reports. Advising on legal privilege issues. Identify and coordinate with other units within the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) on other legal issues impacting INSD that fall within the area of expertise and responsibility of those units, including inter alia Coordinate with other attorneys within the Congressional Oversight & Investigation Unit (COIU) on legal issues impacting INSD that overlap with other external investigations and/or Bureau divisions. Coordinate with the Investigative Law Unit on legal issues impacting INSD that overlap with other legal matters and/or Bureau divisions. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the highest levels of FBI management on all aspects of external audits and investigations. 5 years of substantive experience providing legal advice on government oversight and investigations, including internal investigations. Experience as agency counsel is beneficial.
