IT Systems Engineer
Duties: Perform maintenance to keep networking equipment and servers to latest software builds. Manage backups and storage devices for all servers and data. Manage Exchange Environment (Office 365) Manage Hyper-V Cluster hosts and virtual machines Manage network firewall to include firewall rules, NAT rules, and VPN access Assist with planning and executing firm-wide software/hardware upgrades and rollouts. Maintain and customize software programs on firm computers. Provide 2nd tier diagnosis and repair of hardware and software problems and work with vendors to resolve difficult issues. Create and maintain firm-wide Access and SQL databases. Program VBA macros and PowerShell scripts to streamline processes. Assist and provide backup coverage for the IT Manager.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 3+ years' relevant experience in IT, including experience with end-user assistance, including the following applications: Windows Server 2012r2 / 2016 Active Directory (LAPS, Secure LDAP, Group Policy) Office 365 Administration Hyper-V Clustering Enterprise Administration Skills (DHCP, SMTP, TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, VPN) SAN Knowledge (Dell Compellent) + Clustering HP Comware + Aruba + ProCurve knowledge Meraki Firewalls and Access Points Mimecast Veeam Power PDF Administration of Azure environment (Servers and Networking) MS SQL databases and MS Access databases. iPhone and other smartphone devices and tablets. Familiarity with web servers, Linux, and Mac O/S is a plus. Advanced troubleshooting experience with Microsoft applications and operating systems. Be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Show project management experience with attention to detail and effective communication. Be able to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and adhere to tight schedules. Reflect strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with consistent follow through. Show a strong customer-focus and ability to work with a diverse group of people with various levels of training and learning styles. Observe strict confidentiality of firm and client matters. Have earned a reputation for being accurate, efficient and smart.
