Junior Litigation Paralegal The candidate will manage complex construction defect cases, including calendaring and scheduling with attorneys, outside counsel and the Courts; Draft case management order discovery responses, and review documents for production; and File and serve electronic documents with the Court and parties within the cases. Responsible for keeping a master calendar and task list for dozens of complex construction defect cases throughout California. Manage the electronic filing and service accounts for each case, including sending and receiving all case documents and communications with the Court and parties. Work with a senior paralegal on drafting responses to discovery, including specific case management order requests. Review and prepare company documents for production while flagging issues for senior counsel. Maintain and input case and claim information into Serengeti/Legal Tracker. Understand how to input, edit and present data in excel format. Communicate with company personnel regarding claims. Must have Undergraduate degree from an accredited college. ABA approved paralegal certificate preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in complex construction defect litigation, and preferably have an ABA approved paralegal certification. Must have knowledge of California civil procedure and case management orders used in construction defect cases. Should have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), including editing and formatting legal pleadings.
