Loan Production Manager
The candidate will have responsibility for day to day interaction with both Mortgage Warehouse and Note finance clients to draft and negotiate legal docs, assist Warehouse and Note Finance ops with funding exceptions and approvals and provide expertise on loan level questions, client training and onboarding, implementation of e-notes in the Warehouse group, and assist with garnering and maintaining deposit relationships with clients. Day to day liaison with Mortgage Warehouse Operations manager and Note Finance team to address daily Borrower questions/issues on funding exceptions and facilitating process for adding loans to hospital sublimits (must all be approved by Credit). Person would be expected to provide daily support to Warehouse Ops group as needed with deep experience in Mortgage warehouse funding ops, and even travel at month end/quarter ends to be onsite in Houston to help with heavy funding periods. Critical to have additional bench strength for Warehouse funding group personnel to be able to ask questions, get help, and board new clients in WLS system when Manager is out. Client training & Onboarding: Must have extensive experience in WLS and Warehouse Ops and be able to train new warehouse clients to ensure smooth initial and continued funding of the facility. Close contact with borrower’s operations team to develop rapport and deepening of relationship is essential both initially and ongoing. Implement E-notes - work with Veritex Project manager to implement E-notes and do test pilot with warehouse clients (and Note finance clients where there is interest). Work on approvals needed and tri-party documents with FNMA/FHLMC to get approved as Warehouse lender for E-notes. Legal docs- Must have experience ordering and reviewing legal docs with counsel and ensuring that what was approved in Committee is consistent with documents (new deals, renewals, extensions, waivers, terminations, intercreditor agreements, etc.). Experience negotiating with warehouse and note finance clients on their redline comments and understanding items that are acceptable/unacceptable to Bank. Should be able to draft simple amendments without needing to have outside counsel draft. Deposit gathering – Must be experienced in garnering and managing Custodial accounts associated with FNMA/FHLMC/GNMA MSRs. Critical to our effort to expand lending into MSRs and the deposits that will come with those loans. Some travel will be required to visit clients, prospects, and Operations group as necessary. Should preferably have 7+ years of mortgage banking sales or credit environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Paralegal certification required.
