Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Attorney to join its legal team. This position will involve working across various legal disciplines, focusing on civil litigation and family law. The role offers the opportunity to represent clients in legal proceedings, provide expert legal advice, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Duties:

• Offer expert legal counsel on a wide range of legal issues.
• Represent clients during courtroom hearings, negotiations, and other legal matters.
• Prepare and review contracts, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct in-depth legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to formulate case strategies.
• Advocate for clients’ interests during settlement negotiations.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and regulations affecting client matters.
• Work closely with fellow attorneys and legal staff to manage cases efficiently.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of legal proceedings and client communications.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Bar in New Jersey.
• Proven experience in civil litigation and family law (preferred but not required).
• Strong skills in legal drafting and persuasive writing.
• Familiarity with negotiation techniques and case strategy development.
• Ability to relocate to Somerville, NJ, before the start of employment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey.

Skills:

• Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new legal developments and integrate them into case strategies.

Location:

Schedule:

• Full-time position.
