A law firm in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation / Social Security Disability Attorney with 10+ years of specialized practice. The ideal candidate will manage complex legal matters, advocate for injured workers, and possess strong writing, organizational, and client service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and litigate Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases.
  • Draft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct opening and closing statements in hearings, cross-examine vocational and medical witnesses.
  • Prepare clients for hearings and represent them before Administrative Law Judges.
  • Analyze cases to address legal issues and strategize case approaches.
  • Provide counsel and advice to clients on legal matters related to Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability benefits.
  • Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
  • 10+ years of experience focusing on Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability matters.
  • Strong initiative, excellent writing, drafting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience appearing before Administrative Law Judges and handling complex legal issues related to disability claims.
