Team Manager The candidate will manage team of four or more IA’s or PL’s to ensure adherence to quality, standards, deadlines, and proper procedures. Manage and oversee team’s work and productivity. Regularly engage in report generation for others. Make case assignments within team. Motivate, develop, and direct team. Identify, assess, and appropriately assign tasks based on abilities. Begin to train and instruct team in job duties and company policies, or arrange for training to be provided. Begin to identify and encourage professional/career development of others. Begin to resolve client complaints regarding work performance and service levels. Conduct or assist with performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and hiring, in conjunction with Attorney or Practice Manager. Work with team to identify and correct errors and problems. Regularly manage projects from initiation to implementation. Begin to become involved with cross functional activities, projects, and committees. Begin to assess needs and make recommendations in response to changes in the firm. Create or update protocols, procedures, and policies, including training materials. May perform legal assistant casework requiring advanced knowledge and specific attention to detail (e.g. difficult or VIP cases).

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have demonstrated mastery of Lead Paralegal skills and abilities. Should have proven ability to be the “Go To” person on team. Must have ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact. Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Should have ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels. Should have ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups. Must have ability to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely by others. Should have ability and willingness to share knowledge in a helpful manner. Must have demonstrated willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges. Should have excellent program and project management experience. Should have ability to manage priorities and workflow. Must have ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have commitment to excellence and high standards. Should have acute attention to detail. Should have good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Must have creative, flexible, and innovative team player. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have 2+ years of experience as a Lead / Supervising Immigration Paralegal. Must have bachelor’s degree.
