Document Review Specialist - Real Estate (Temporary) Duties: Review of real estate documents associated with a portfolio of 50+ properties located nationally. Will report to the LMS Real Property Lead. Investigates, retrieves, and compiles information needed for real property evaluations (best use, environmental limitations, access, water and power, etc.). Provides support and analysis of title documents and other realty instruments, such as licenses, access agreements, restrictive covenants and environmental easements. Provides support on environmental law and regulations such as RCRA, CERCLA, UMTRCA and other laws applicable to Department of Energy sites and the interaction of these laws with real property laws, such as institutional controls. May perform special assignments.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Associate’s degree or higher. 7-10 years relevant experience in real estate or environmental or related fields OR equivalent combination of specialized education and experience. Preferred: Real estate or environmental legal and/or regulatory experience preferred. Paralegal certification preferred. Software Requirements: MS Excel and MS Word. Expert knowledge and ability to develop and apply highly advanced principles, concepts and techniques in the field of real property management and/or environmentally impaired property management. Skill and ability to perform critical strategic tasks and to interpret broad strategic requirements and develop and execute plans to satisfy them. Can be viewed as an expert within a specialty and as highly competent within the broad discipline, both internally and externally. Ability to understand government regulations and mandates for reporting purposes. Excellent technical writing ability Term: 6-9 months
