International Tax Senior Associate The candidate will work as a An International Tax Senior Associate, will be responsible for utilizing basic research skills and applying educational background to identify potential tax issues.Will be charged with gathering required client information necessary to prepare tax accrual workpapers, to utilize tax software applications to complete simple tax returns and participating in tax planning. Bachelors degree, required. Accounting or another business related major, preferred. Juris Doctorate degree, LLM, and/or MST/MBT, preferred. 2 or more years of experience in corporate tax, international taxation, legal professional services or equivalent experience gained through an advanced degree (LLM) program, required. Experience in international tax, preferred. Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, preferred. CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations), preferred. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred/ Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw, preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical and basic legal and tax research skills including building models and analysis of financial and numerical data. Should have basic knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings as well as the most widely-used filing forms and awareness of other less widely used forms. Must have basic understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation and law. Basic knowledge and understanding of general calculations and cause / effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues. Should have strong legal writing background and familiarity with the IRAC method of analysis.
