The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in handling complex, high exposure personal injury cases, including products liability and general negligence. This role involves drafting legal documents, taking and defending depositions, preparing for trial, and developing client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deposition Management: Take and defend expert and witness depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and effective examination.
  • Drafting Legal Documents: Draft original motions, litigation-related documents, and discovery requests and responses for complex matters.
  • Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing for trial by developing motions in limine, exhibit lists, witness lists, and other trial-related documents.
  • Client Communication: Develop and maintain client relationships through effective oral and written communication.
  • Case Management: Manage assigned cases, ensuring timely and efficient handling of legal matters.
  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research to support case arguments and strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior attorneys and support staff to manage case progress and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in asbestos or toxic tort litigation, with experience in handling high exposure and complex personal injury cases preferred.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (.) degree from a top law school.
  • Licensure: Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
  • Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Billable Work Environment: Experience working in a billable work environment, demonstrating efficiency and productivity.
