ProfileCounsel Duties: Particularly focused on drafting and negotiating contracts for company's business globally, specifically contracts for company insurance and engineering services, procurement, data security and confidentiality, and business transactions. Will also be responsible for crafting, implementing and communicating viable solutions as needed on compliance/insurance regulatory issues, strategic initiatives and business transactions and for providing leadership and legal advice on general corporate governance and compliance matters.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, JD degree. Admission to Connecticut Bar. 5+ years in house counsel or law firm experience working on corporate matters. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong research skills and ability to analyze and apply complex laws and regulations to business operations, strong organizational and time management skills; detail oriented, logical and methodical approach to problem solving; strong project and process management capabilities; financial acumen; strong collaboration skills to work on cross-functional project teams; high degree of integrity and strong commitment to ethical conduct.Preferred: Experience in the following areas: contract review and compliance, intellectual property, property/casualty business and related laws, data security, global transaction of business.
