Corporate Counsel, Litigation (Intermediate or Senior Level) The candidate will be responsible for aiding in the MSA litigation process, mainly for product liability claims and insurance recovery. This role will advise and assist with matters such as agency investigations, workers compensation claims, litigation budget tracking and supervising outside service providers. Will be able to provide legal support during litigation and identify and implement process improvements. Assist with litigation proceedings affecting the Company and its subsidiaries, with a focus on product liability claims and insurance recovery litigation. Improve processes to support litigation efforts. Supervise a network of outside service providers. Aid legal team in examining workers compensation claims, agency investigations and subpoenas. Manage the legal issues that accompany product recalls and customer injury cases. Provide counsel to marketing, sales, and engineering functions related to legal issues on product safety-focused matters. Educate business units relating to mitigation and proactive avoidance of legal risk as needed. Develop and implement e-discovery practices. Provide advice on privacy legal issues.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Juris Doctor. Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania. Law Review or a top legal journal is preferred/
Experience (required):
Intermediate Level: 6 years’ litigation practice.
Senior Level: 9 years’ litigation practice.
Experience (preferred): Experience with product liability, policyholder-side insurance coverage law, e-discovery, or other such matters. Prior practice at a top law firm.
Should have Proven record of strong negotiating, communication, organizational, and people management skills. Proven record of influencing and building relationships. Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to embrace innovative approaches to legal work, such as an understanding of legal operations, value-based fee agreements, legal process or project improvement, or use of technology solutions.
