Legal Assistant
The candidate will perform a variety of complex legal secretarial and administrative tasks while exercising sound judgment and demonstrating the ability to multi-task and perform under deadlines. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: Managing both state and federal court filings. Creating, editing, proofing, and finalizing documents. Generating TOAs and TOCs. Calendaring key dates. Editing and submitting monthly case status reports. Revising, updating and coordinating submission of monthly client billing statements. Preparing, submitting, and monitoring expenses. Assisting with preparation for meetings, hearings, and presentations. Coordinating case intake and conflicts procedures. Supporting attorneys with organization of case materials. Working with Legal Assistants in other locations as a collaborative member of the team. Should have 5+ years of increasing responsibility as a legal secretary. Must be familiar with document management systems (NetDocs preferred). Experience with insurance coverage a plus.
