Deputy Chief Compliance Officer The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Enterprise CCO in the oversight of all activities, functions, and initiatives related to the development, implementation, oversight, and maintenance of the Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program, which, in addition to fraud, waste and abuse compliance activities, includes: HIPAA privacy and security, and confidentiality, and other corporate-wide privacy and information governance initiatives; general regulatory compliance activities; and enterprise-wide risk assessment, auditing, monitoring, and training activities designed to manage, eliminate, or reduce risks. Assists the CCO in the development, implementation, oversight, documentation, and maintenance of the enterprise compliance program. Provides guidance to Compliance Stakeholders and serving as an escalation point regarding the enterprise compliance program. Assists the CCO in ensuring that appropriate policies, procedures and processes govern enterprise compliance program activities. Leads the compliance risk assessment, identification, and prioritization process and directing the compliance-related risk assessment activities necessary to create the enterpriseannual Compliance Work Plan. Updates the enterprise Corporate Compliance Plan and Manual, at least annually. Oversees and evaluates compliance-related enterprise risks and serves as resource to regional Chief Compliance Officers during risk assessments and compliance-related investigations. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson. Leading internal investigations and preparing corresponding reports. Performing other compliance related activities as deemed necessary by the Enterprise CCO. Overseeing the Jefferson Alertline and reporting trends and issues to the enterprise CCO. Preparing summary reports concerning all strategic initiatives, audits, and investigations. Scheduling and leading monthly meetings with Senior Compliance staff and subordinate staff members as needed. Assists the Enterprise Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring that Jefferson Health's Compliance Program fully meets the standards for effective health care compliance programs as established by federal regulators. Bachelorâ€™s degree in Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field required. JD or Masterâ€™s degree preferred. 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service or related field required.
