Contracts Administrator Duties: Draft, edit and lead negotiations of products and services sales contracts with customers (and their legal personnel); coordinate with sales representatives, finance and marketing departments as necessary; Manage intake of sales contracts requests for the contracts team; prioritize and assign work to team members; Serve as primary contact between the Legal Department and various functions supporting the Physio-Control business unit by ensuring all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly; Coordinate certain contracts with various other teams at Corporate; Implement and enforce core contract management processes for request, execution and filing of agreements; Monitor and track status of legal matters; Identify system or process improvements that increase efficiency, compliance or reduce cost to the business; Make decisions of minimal to moderate impact within area of influence/responsibility, exercising independent judgment in consult with manager and viewed as an interdepartmental resource; Develop strong relationships to foster an advisory or collaborative approach with others within the department was well as with other functions; and Assist on other matters as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High school Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate highly preferred. However, years of relevant experience will be weighed against this requirement. 6+ years' contracts redlining and negotiation experience preferred. Corporate in-house experience preferred. Experience with a sales team highly desirable. Medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences experience a plus. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of organization. Demonstrates developing ability to anticipate impact and take initiative beyond direct responsibilities. Must have excellent communication and writing skills. Must have discretion and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates professional and positive demeanor and is perceived as highly competent. Ability to complete high volume of work in a timely and thorough manner with minimal rework. Ability to work well as part of a team and independently and demonstrates developing ability to anticipate impact and take initiative beyond direct responsibilities. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage numerous projects and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment. High proficiency in computer systems and programs such as the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn Stryker-specific systems.
