Legal Assistant The candidate works directly with our attorneys on all types of litigation. Works with outside counsel in all 50 states preparing forms and exhibits for filings. Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database. Managing, monitoring and tracking litigated files which include but are not limited to contested litigation, foreclosures, and bankruptcy proceedings. Negotiating payment arrangements with local attorney’s. Review, summarize and monitor title issues. Regulatory filings, scheduling closings. Preparing motions for relief from stay, objections, proofs of claim, corresponding with the courts, debtors counsel and Trustees. Corresponding with management regarding the status of collection efforts and maintaining a database with payments and collections and court costs. Preparing case summaries for review. Respond to all inquiries, correspondence and requests in a timely manner. Must have Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate. Should have Microsoft Excel skills.
