ProfileData Center Site Selection Manager The candidate will develop firm leased data center location strategy and manage the site selection effort for national and international real estate, economic development incentives, energy and utilities, network connectivity, legal, policy and financial considerations. Will lead feasibility discussions and contract negotiations with service providers, property owners, economic development agencies, and utility companies. Negotiate letters of intent, lease agreements, service agreements, economic development incentives, and other facility-specific agreements. Manage firm’s existing leased data center portfolio, including interactions with existing providers and disposition of existing leased space. Partner with internal organizations including capacity planning, in-region greenfield site selection managers, energy teams, data center design, construction, network engineering, legal, policy, communications and finance. Prepare project location recommendations and present to senior management for approval. Develop portfolio management metrics and tracking mechanisms and interact with external lease management companies. Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline is needed. Advanced technical degree, law degree or MBA is needed. Experience with data center leases is essential. Should have 6+ years experience in leased data center site selection and development of data centers or other large scale or mission critical capital programs. Experience with Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote is needed. Must have 6+ years experience leading complex negotiations, including contract formation and contract negotiations. Background in real estate development and an understanding of leases is needed. Knowledgeable and experienced at representing business interests to the senior leadership of potential suppliers, utilities, governments and other stakeholder is essential.
