Litigation/Transactional Legal Assistant Duties: Maximize the long term value of the firm by helping clients and colleagues and contribute to a working environment based on pursuit of excellence, accountability, integrity, teamwork and respect. Meet or exceed our client’s expectations while supporting the department and maintaining a very high standard of professionalism, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Docket all dates (closing dates, signings, etc.). Follow-up on dates via telephone calls or correspondence. Follow-up on assignments with Attorney so deadlines are met. Schedule and coordinate appointments. Ensure electronic file is complete and kept pursuant to firm procedure. Assist with opening and closing of files. Record billable and unbillable (client and administrative) time spent in the correct file matters. Assist in drafting documents as directed by Attorney; edit and finalize attorney work product. Finalize and prepare documents for filing with the Court, Recorder’s Office, Secretary of State. Process all documents for physical and electronic files.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor degree and paralegal certificate preferred; 3-5 years' relevant experience; excellent language skills; proficient computer skills, 60+ wpm; attendance, friendly and enthusiastic, professional attitude and appearance, intuitive, takes pride in his/her work, and interested in long term professional growth and development.
