Business Control Manager - Contract Governance The candidate ensures adherence to applicable bank procurement and risk management standards, policies and procedures. Does oversee and ensure successful integration of contract library into Ariba Cloud environment. Appropriately engage other support partners including Legal, Compliance, Technology and other Enterprise Control Functions. Build strong relationships with applicable Global Procurement functions and support partners. Staying informed of internal and external factors and industry trends affecting contract structure and strategies. Remains aware of the impact of this governance and control role across functions and lines of business. Handles complex contractual reviews and analyzes risks and risk mitigation. Analyzes complex information and presents meaningful, summary information across all audiences. Ensures adherence to appropriate policies and procedures. Provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB/ECF. Gather and organize data in order to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans. Prepare documentation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have 5+ years of risk management and/or LOB/ECF experience and Bachelor’s degree. Ongoing understanding of procurement process and requirements is essential.Extensive understanding of contract law and researching regulatory issues is essential. Proficiency in analyzing risk terms and conditions for commercial contracts is essential. Must have ongoing understanding of relevant laws and regulations and bank policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences and varying levels of leadership is essential. Advanced degree is preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in working with complex commercial contracts, preferably third-party vendor contracts for Fortune 500 company within Financial Services Industry. Experience with Bank of America Third Party Program and associated processes is essential. Legal/paralegal professional background is preferred.
