Employee Benefits Associate
The candidate will work with Tax Department. Should have 3-5 years of prior associate level experience with strong employee benefits and executive compensation experience.? Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis. Manage projects from commencement to closing. Competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys; and Complete tasks efficiently. Must have ability to assist clients in complying with federal and state laws governing qualified retirement, health and welfare plans. Should have experience in evaluating employee benefits and executive compensation matters in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions. Should have ability to draft employee benefit plan documents and correcting plan failures and other operational issues through the voluntary correction programs offered by the IRS and the Department of Labor. Must have Juris Doctor. Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
