Contract Administrator
Duties: Work with the Drives business unit of the Motion Division to evaluate new and existing customer contracts and processes and recommend alternatives as appropriate. Minimize or eliminate potential contractual problems by proposing and/or negotiating changes or other measures to effectively meet ABB risk guidelines while maintaining good customer relations. Coordinate with ABB lawyers, export, risk management, intellectual property, tax and finance departments with respect to key contract provisions to comply with ABB Group Guidelines and Directives. Provide advice on legal and business implications of specific contracts, identify associated risks and liabilities and propose measures to protect the Company’s interests while maintaining customer satisfaction. Play a key role in resolving controversial issues. Review requests for quote and provide specific comments and recommended adjustment to terms and conditions, including reasoning for a change. Prepare and control documents required to properly administer contracts and comply with sound business practices. Work closely with other contract administrators and lawyers to maintain and update the contract databases. Assist sales management with standard Representative and Distribution agreements. Coordinate with controllers and operations to prepare financial instruments for letters of credit, bonds, parent company guarantees. Assist with requests for Certificates of Insurance. Manage and track assigned matters and provide periodic reports and status updates regarding activities. Assist with requests for Certificates of Insurance. Create and disseminate Customer non-disclosure agreements. Communicate and collaborative with other contract administrators in the US Motion business.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor Degree and 2-5 years' experience in contract management or working in law. Preferred Bachelors Degree in law. Must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
