Location:
Duties:
- Interview inventors and draft patent applications.
- Prosecute patent applications, including overcoming rejections under 35 . §101.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on patent matters, especially in semiconductor and software technologies.
- Handle patent filings related to AI, machine learning, and other advanced technologies.
- Engage in direct client interactions and contribute to developing client strategies.
- Assume substantial responsibility and assist in mentoring junior attorneys.
Requirements:
- Registered to practice before the United States Patent Office (USPTO).
- 1-4 years of experience in patent prosecution, including drafting and overcoming rejections.
- Experience with semiconductor or software-related patents, particularly in AI/ML.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Law firm experience is highly preferred.
Education:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- A technical degree is preferred.
Certifications:
- USPTO Registration (required).
