Child Support Enforcement Associate The candidate will investigate referrals from Economic Support Programs and the Department of Children and Family Services. Process child support service applications. Investigate, initiate, resolve and/or redirect referrals to Child Support Enforcement Specialists. Will investigate cases and other matters; interview persons to obtain information; monitor the status of cases to ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner. Perform locate efforts for non-custodial parents utilizing various locate tools and locate databases. Administer the records and file databases used by the Child Support Agency utilizing processes which properly identify and establish cases. Run error reports and correct errors. Submit Voluntary Paternity Acknowledgement forms to Vital Records. Arrange for payments to be processed and mailed to the Wisconsin Support Collections Trust Fund (WISCTF). Review and update files after court and begin processing orders issued by the judge. Respond to information left on various telephone lines. Perform other work as required or assigned, to include scan documents to create electronic files; open, sort, and distribute mail for Child Support Agency and its staff; assist the Child Support Attorney in court; and file documents.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have 2+ years of experience performing clerical duties in an office setting Or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job. Should preferably have Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal, Administrative Professional, or Human Services/Social Services/Legal related field. Experience using KIDS, CARES, CWW, and/or eWISACWIS state databases is preferred.
