ProfileSummer 2018 Legal Internships Interns must work full time for a minimum of 10 weeks from May 29 to August 3, 2018. This internship may require regular night meetings. Interns will work in any/all of the legal practice areas within CDP, including: Housing & Tenants’ Rights: We provide direct legal assistance to community groups, their organizers, and their members in the area of landlord-tenant law, including affirmative litigation (e.g., HP actions, rent strikes, and 7A proceedings) on behalf of tenant associations, as well as individual anti-eviction litigation. We train community groups and their members on tenants’ rights issues, collaborate with tenant organizers, assist with legislative and/or regulatory advocacy, and lead housing clinics. A second language – especially Spanish, East Asian, or South Asian languages – is strongly preferred.
