Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 1-4 years of experience to join its highly regarded Real Estate and Land Use Group. The firm handles a broad range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong transactional real estate experience and the ability to manage complex closings, draft legal agreements, and work collaboratively on multi-faceted projects.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage real estate closings and transactions independently.
  • Review title commitments and surveys for accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other real estate-related contracts.
  • Analyze complex real estate data and communicate key issues effectively to clients and team members.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients on multiple real estate matters simultaneously, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Identify and address key issues, proposing effective legal solutions.
  • Work as part of a team in handling real estate development projects such as homebuilder projects, shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial parks.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of transactional real estate experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex real estate matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective client interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail while identifying and addressing critical legal issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage real estate closings independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar (Arizona preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of transactional real estate law.
  • Proficiency in reviewing title commitments, surveys, and legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose practical legal solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
