Corporate Lawyer
The candidate will lead all corporate legal matters, formation, and management of legal entities, regulatory filings, etc. Draft and critical review of real estate option/purchase and sale agreements, right of way agreements, interconnection agreements, permits, third party engagement letters, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements related to the Company’s solar projects. Provide legal support and direction to the development team, engineers, and other project staff. Oversee legal aspects of project development. Advise management on strategic issues and corporate policies and procedures. Synchronize legal and business terms across various agreements in a coordinated manner. Identify risks and propose alternative strategies in order to mitigate risks while accomplishing the preferred path forward for the project if possible.

Qualification and Experience Should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is required. Should have 10+ years of experience in legal practice or in-house legal department and 5+ years experience in real estate matters. A license to practice law in at least one state is required. Experience negotiating and drafting commercial agreements and contracts is required. Experience working independently and cross-functionally is needed. The ability and willingness to timely meet fluid and changing priorities are required. Experience taking on complex projects is needed. Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented perspective are required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required. Smart, decisive, organized, methodical, and biased toward action are needed. Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to manage numerous and sometimes competing responsibilities of varying urgency within a fast-paced work environment. Must have strong experience with common business software tools, such as Microsoft Office.
