Assistant General Counsel The candidate will provide professional legal advice, counsel, support and guidance to firm business operations, focused on the real estate interests of the company as related to its renewable and thermal generation portfolio. Will support firm’s activities by rendering legal advice to the Company’s development team, operations team and land department, drafting and negotiating real estate agreements (including leases, easements, options, deeds and other documents), and supporting project financing by managing title insurance, survey and other related financing requirements. Assist with other general legal matters and various corporate transactions as they arise, and other matters of interest to the company. Must have JD degree. Should have 7-10 years of relevant experience. Strong organizational, time management, and oral and written communication skills are must. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents is required. Experience in reviewing title work and surveys is needed. Experience in the areas of real estate with energy-related contract development and negotiation, with a clear understanding of risks in the power generation segment, is preferred. Experience with multi-parcel real estate development is desired.
