A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of experience in structured finance, specifically with structured lending facilities, to join the firm’s market-leading CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) practice. Experience with capital markets securitization transactions is a plus. The ideal candidate must be admitted to practice and in good standing in New York.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on structured finance transactions, particularly focusing on structured lending facilities and CLOs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex financing agreements and related legal documents.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on structured finance matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on structured finance transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external parties to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and market trends affecting structured finance.
  • Assist in structuring and executing capital markets securitization transactions.
  • Support senior attorneys in managing client relationships and developing business opportunities.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and networking events.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in structured finance, specifically with structured lending facilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in CLOs and capital markets securitization transactions.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing structured finance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law and in good standing in New York.
