Duties: Supports the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsels with respect to legal issues affecting the company, including assisting with trademarks, patents, product development and review, complaint matters, regulatory matters, SEC matters and corporate matters. Administers the contracts management system. Tracks and assists in reviewing marketing materials for FTC & FDA compliance. Prepares correspondences for various matters. Performs detailed and thorough legal research. Supports privacy compliance related to GDPR & CCPA. Tracks and confirms various deadlines. Prepares corporate resolutions and other corporate documents and filings; organizes and maintains minute books; sorts through corporate books for relevant information, Establishes, develops, maintains and updates manual and electronic filing systems for the legal department. Locates and retrieves information from files when needed. Performs administrative tasks including tracking legal invoices, drafting letters, keeping records, filing legal documents, regulatory registrations, and supports the needs of the legal office. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Works well in a fast-paced environment and adapts quickly to change. Assists with other tasks and issues as they arise. Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities. Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Prior experience as legal secretary and/or paralegal strongly preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to solve complex problems. Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel with good typing and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, keep track of deadlines, and promptly follow through on assignments. Ability to create, maintain and organize large set of on-site and off-site files of correspondence, contracts and similar items.
