IP Litigation Paralegal The candidate will support attorneys across all offices. Will conduct statutory, regulatory, or factual research with respect to client matters. Participate in due diligence, privilege, and other reviews of client records and files. Assist with the organization of client materials and attorney work product, including the use of databases, imaging systems, and other computer-based technology. Calculate and calendar case deadlines, maintain, monitor, and organize case calendars. Maintain paper and/or electronic pleading files and other case or project records; circulate materials to the project team, as needed. Coordinate with attorneys and eDiscovery teams regarding the production of documents, and maintain and update production logs. Arrange filings, draft, edit, cite-check, conform, and otherwise assist in the preparation of legal documents. Prepare binders for depositions, hearings, trials, and completed transactions. 4-year college degree is required. Substantive knowledge of and familiarity with Intellectual Property law including relevant experience with Section 337 cases before the ITC is essential. Knowledge of the U.S. International Trade Commission rules and procedures is essential. Knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as well as local rules and filing procedures for U.S. District Court is essential. Intellectual Property and/or Complex Commercial litigation/trial experience (from case inception through discovery and trial or appeal) required.
