Part time Adjunct - Paralegal Studies/Legal Assisting
Responsibilities: Preparing, instructing, and grading all coursework in the assigned classes; Assigning final grades; and recording attendance. Preparing course materials, class lectures, and in-class activities. Evaluating student progress through examination and assignments. Actively supporting student success through academic advising. Participating in any required department, division, or adjunct faculty meetings. Maintaining an active program of professional development related to individual, professional, and institutional needs. Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: A Juris Doctor (or equivalent) or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in law. Teaching experience in a community or state college or other post-secondary institution setting is preferred. Should have experience working within the public or private legal community. Must have ability to deliver high quality instruction in a range of legal topics including the American Legal System, business organizations, legal ethics, real property, civil litigation and/or legal research and writing. Should have ability to incorporate technology in the facilitation and delivery of course materials.
