Location:

  • New Providence, NJ

Duties:

  • Work closely with partners on all aspects of litigation and client interactions
  • Draft briefs, motions, and legal documents
  • Review, draft, and negotiate redevelopment agreements
  • Prepare and analyze legal proposals
  • Conduct research and analyze relevant case law
  • Attend union negotiations and school board meetings
  • Track and report billable hours

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in New Jersey
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in land use and/or municipal law
  • Experience with transactional law and redevelopment agreements
  • Experience with local housing law
  • Land use/planning board appearance experience
  • Strong communication skills and a personable attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to receive and act on constructive feedback

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in New Jersey

Skills:

  • Land use and municipal law expertise
  • Drafting and negotiating legal documents
  • Legal research and analysis
  • Experience in union negotiations and public meetings
  • Proficiency in Clio and Westlaw (preferred)
  • Litigation experience (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
