Duties

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, depositions, hearings, and arbitrations.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to assist in developing case strategies.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of legal matters.
• Stay informed about relevant changes in laws and regulations that may impact cases.
• Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Requirements

• Licensing:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the Colorado State Bar.
  • Licensure in additional states (., Wyoming, Nebraska) is a plus.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience in handling civil litigation, ideally with a focus on insurance defense or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes, including trial preparation, depositions, and hearings.

• Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research and writing capabilities, with an ability to craft persuasive legal arguments and documents.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• An active member in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
• Additional state bar certifications are preferred (Wyoming, Nebraska).

Skills

• Litigation & Legal Research:

  • Expertise in civil litigation and legal research methodologies.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.

• Communication & Negotiation:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable settlements.

• Collaboration & Client Relations:
