Legal Assistant The candidate duties and responsibilities will include: Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence and related legal documents; calendar litigation deadlines and events; manage calendar and scheduling; redact and Bates number documents for production (using Adobe Acrobat); e-filing. Extensive word processing, redlining, proofreading, and formatting various reports, contracts and other legal documents; create and populate evidentiary spreadsheets. Organize, scan and copy legal and non-legal documents. Transcribe and create legal and non-legal documents from recordings and dictation media. Conduct client intake, including engaging client and requesting, gathering and reviewing client documents. Support workplace investigations; review client and witness documents; schedule and attend meetings; prepare interview transcripts; prepare/finalize reports and exhibits. Assist with Managing Partner’s outside activities, including travel, church, investments, etc. Various other administrative and support duties. Should have 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant and/or paralegal. Must have State and federal court filing experience, including e-filing. Should have expertise with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and Essential Forms. Must have typing speed of at least 60 wpm with very high rate of accuracy.
