Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Pittsburgh, PA, is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated mid-level litigation attorney. The position offers flexibility, including the possibility of remote work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of general liability matters, handling all stages of litigation, and providing comprehensive legal support to clients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Duties:
- Handle a broad range of general liability cases, including managing cases independently from inception through resolution.
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other key legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions, as well as manage written discovery.
- Provide strategic legal analysis and develop case strategies.
- Represent clients in court and handle oral arguments as needed.
- Manage relationships with clients and ensure quality service throughout the litigation process.
Requirements:
- Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
- 3-5 years of litigation experience, ideally with a focus on defending liability claims.
- Strong background in drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery responses.
- Experience in handling depositions and providing oral arguments.
- Previous experience with premises liability, automobile, general liability, and insurance defense is preferred.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active membership in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and writing abilities.
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
