Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Prosecute patent applications and develop claim charts focused on wireless communications standards, particularly 3GPP 4G and 5G.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand and protect innovative wireless technology inventions.
• Manage patent cases with a high degree of independence, ensuring client needs and expectations are met.
• Engage in team initiatives and contribute to the growth and culture of the firm’s expanding practice.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Direct experience with wireless communications standards (3GPP 4G/5G) and related patent processes.

Education:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• Other relevant technical degrees will be considered, including Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Software Engineering.

Certifications:

• Registered to practice as a Patent Agent before the USPTO is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of patent drafting, prosecution, and telecommunications technologies.
• Experience with claim chart preparation in alignment with industry standards.
• Ability to work independently, engage with clients effectively, and manage a patent docket.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
