Risk Manager The candidate will be responsible to the Vice President of Quality, Lake Health, and its clients for assisting, implementing, hardwiring and evaluating the culture of safety within and across the continuum of care. Will be assessing the organization's current patient safety culture and implementing creative strategies to heighten this culture: assuring ongoing compliance with the National Patient Safety Goals, implementing strategies designed to comply with National Quality Forum for Safe Practices and Leapfrog initiatives; implementing strategies to reduce the occurrence of Never Events; trending and analyzing occurrence reports for potential performance improvement opportunities and ongoing rounding and education of team members at all levels; and participating in the Patient Safety Committee. Assisting in and/or conduct root cause analysis, medical malpractice claims/litigation management, grievance and service recovery processes, smooth operations of insurance processes via annual insurance application completion and claims management. Should have BS degree; Master's is preferred. Must have Current RN license, State of Ohio; Paralegal from an accredited program is considered. Must have 6+ years' experience in a clinical setting. Knowledge of the National Patient Safety Goals, National Quality Forum for Safe Practices and Leapfrog is required. Should have 4+ years of risk management, quality or legal environment required. Strong project management experience is required. Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
