Associate Advisory Operations & Compliance Risk Summer 2020
Responsibilities: Participate in a wide variety of project types and provide healthcare and life sciences organizations with integrated advice across the full life-cycle of risk and regulatory change, including compliance and monitoring of new regulations, working with regulators to understand future changes, and advising companies on risk mitigation and remediation. Key areas include: Compliance audits / gap assessments / maturity assessments, Third-party / vendor compliance audits, Compliance & contract operational effectiveness, Sell-side and buy-side diligence assistance, Compliance transformation & automation, Regulatory process mapping to requirements, risks, controls and testing, Government pricing, PBM assessments, Objective/unbiased review organization services, FCPA proactive assessments, Clinical Research Organization Assessments, Compliance policy standardization / drafting, Patient Support / Patient Assistance Program Assessments, Healthcare coding and billing assessments, Physician contracting reviews, Privacy assessments. Maintain awareness of relevant marketplace issues and emerging industry regulations and guidelines, and assist with development and implementation of new compliance protocols as new regulations emerge and laws change. Collect information and data through effective client interviews, system queries, and internal/external research. Complete qualitative and quantitative data analysis leveraging a variety of tools and methods, compile and present information verbally, visually, and in writing to translate to client needs, and provide recommendations. Assist in special projects, including strategic growth initiatives, business development, thought leadership creation, training development and delivery, and engagement and practice administration activities.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university. Health Policy and Administration, Public Policy, Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other qualified healthcare and life science-related degrees preferred, Demonstrated quality service mindset, and preferred understanding of Healthcare and Life Sciences industries, associated laws, rules, and regulations, and the fields of regulatory and compliance risk management, compliance, internal audit, and/or legal, Understanding of online research and desk-based investigative techniques, Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Aris, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques, Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work, Ability to work extra hours as needed to meet client deadlines, Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises approximately 80 percent, at times with relatively short notice, Target graduation dates from December 2019 through August 2020.
