Corporate Paralegal The candidate will be an integral part of, and provide support to, Strataâ€™s existing 5-person legal team, and will have daily interaction with companyâ€™s management, development and finance teams. Assists legal team on a wide variety of legal needs, with a particular emphasis on a transactional practice, including corporate and project finance, investments, project development and acquisitions and divestitures. Assists with the drafting, management and compilation of a wide variety of agreements and documents, including membership interest purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, operating agreements and other organizational and governance documents, loan documents, leases, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, power purchase agreements, renewable energy certificate purchase and sale agreements, operations and maintenance agreements and asset management agreements. Administers and manages due diligence activities and virtual data rooms. Communicates directly with Strataâ€™s counterparties and outside counsel. Resolves legal inquiries. Develops, implements and manages document processing and records management procedures. Serves as a liaison with various departments within company, including development, finance, legal, engineering, construction, human relations and asset management. Assists legal team with general administrative matters.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal education and/or certificate preferred. Should have 2+ years of transactional paralegal experience. Experience in the renewable energy industry or construction industry preferred. Should have exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Interest in renewable energy preferred.
