ProfileLicensure Certification Specialist The candidate will be responsible for renewing state surgery center licenses, Drug Enforcement Administration Registrations (“DEA”), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (“CLIA”) Lab permits, state clinical lab permits and pharmacy licenses related to operation of centers. Will do regular contact via telephone and correspondence with state licensing agencies and federal regulatory agencies such as Medicare carriers to enroll surgery centers into the Medicare program. Provides timely turnaround of state licenses and federal projects. Works within a strict time frame of setting priorities and using discretion to exercise confidentiality. Works with state, government agencies and legal representatives. Performs research and help develop policies and procedures for the department. Other projects as assigned requiring that they work with other co-workers to complete. Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Experience in drafting and completing Medicare 855B applications is preferred. Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat experience is essential. Associates degree from an accredited college or university with 3+ years’ experience is required. Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal is preferred.
