ProfileLand Use and Zoning / Permitting specialist The candidate will be involved in negotiating & securing approvals. Review zoning regulations and attend project meetings. Manage and/or assist with all aspects of submitting and acquiring permits and other entitlement applications and agreements needed for installation of Company’s facilities on poles and other infrastructure within the public right of way and public utility easements. Negotiate right-of-way use agreements as needed in accordance with Company’s standards and parameters. Maintain relationships with municipalities and manage all aspects of complying with conditions of approvals and interface with the City Attorney’s office and staff on matters related to municipal codes and effectively communicate regulatory status. Serve as liaison between Company’s Network Real Estate group and Implementation group to obtain, administer and ensure compliance with general conditions of approvals at permit and construction stages of the project, meeting project timelines. Support the Network Real Estate market team on review of agreements and review of municipal code and/or zoning ordinance changes in collaboration with counsel. Provide response and input to protect Company’s regulatory rights and its ability to install facilities and operate networks in the market in collaboration with counsel. Provide research and advice to internal clients regarding access rights, permitting, and project deployment. Land use and zoning/permitting experience as well as a strong contract negotiation and agreements review background (ROW access, Tower Sites, easements, utilities, etc.). A paralegal or similar background is also a plus. Experience: working in a municipality, or Planning, Zoning, and Land Use capacity or a comparable industry; in presenting and speaking to the public and governmental entities required; working with design teams, preparation of permit drawings and construction documents related to outside plant construction required. Familiarity with and experience of the rules and policies of the Public Utilities Commission/Public Service Commission preferred. Wireless industry experience a plus. Public hearing and presentation experience is definitely a plus as well as experience working with local & City Governmental entities.
