A law firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with experience in construction defect litigation (defense side) to join its team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all phases of construction litigation, including discovery, pleadings, motions, and depositions. Location:

• Walnut Creek, CA

Duties:

• Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
• Draft and argue motions in construction defect litigation cases.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop case strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Handle all phases of construction defect litigation from inception to resolution.

Requirements:

• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Experience in construction defect litigation (defense side).
• Experience drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings.
• Proficient in drafting and arguing motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar.

Skills:
