Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is looking to add a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to their team. This is a remote, full-time opportunity ideal for a legal professional with substantial litigation experience. The attorney will handle bodily injury cases, first-party bad faith defense, and general insurance defense matters. This role involves managing civil cases through trial and providing exceptional legal counsel to clients.

Duties:

  • Draft and file motions, handle depositions, conduct oral arguments, and represent clients in hearings.
  • Negotiate settlements and provide detailed client reporting.
  • Manage case assignments independently, including appearances in court with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Utah Bar license; additional state licenses are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance defense (preferred).
  • Proven expertise in bodily injury, first-party bad faith defense, and general insurance defense.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and valid license to practice law in Utah (Required).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills with an emphasis on insurance defense.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage cases from inception to trial.
  • Proficient in negotiating settlements and working with clients.
