Immigration Paralegal, Contract Duties: Complete immigration petitions and get them approved. Prepare immigration court briefs and have the office of assistant chief counsel admin close cases, bring new clients in the door; give excellent customer service; bring a smile to everyone’s face that calls the office or walks in the door; work on a monthly quota, and be organized to a fault. Manage the caseload and the Attorneys. Run and sometimes you will have to fly to keep up with them. Organize the Attorney calendar. Plan what the Attorney has to do to be ready for what you know is coming up on the calendar. Thank you cards will be sent, gifts, birthday cards, etc. Will complete the rundown of daily assignments, bring new clients in the door, prepare mailing and correspondence, greet customers, calendar court hearings, and other events, oversee and organize the details so the Attorney has what they need, where they need it, when they need it and preferably before they know they need it to do their job. Will draft correspondence, take brilliantly half-baked correspondence and finish it. Will gather, collect, and keep track of all kinds of stuff.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelors in Paralegal Studies. 3 years’ experience as an immigration paralegal that knows how to complete immigration petitions and briefs from beginning to end. Plans ahead, uses good judgment, and defensible criteria when making decisions. Should be familiar with westlaw, mycase, lexicata, microsoft office suite, efile court documents in all Metro Atlanta Counties, USCIS, and Immigration Court.
