Litigation Paralegal The candidate provides paralegal assistance to outside counsel and/or AMD attorneys involved in litigation, administrative, regulatory and compliance matters. Organizes and tracks litigation files and deadlines. Organizes and maintains litigation case information using an electronic document management system. Provides assistance to in-house litigation attorneys and acts as a liaison between the AMD law department, internal business units, outside legal counsel, external companies and vendors. Manages e-discovery document collections, including working directly with e-discovery professionals and vendors. Assists attorneys with the document preservation process, including tracking of information, scheduling of custodian interviews, preparation of interview summaries and document collection. Assists in fact investigations, due diligence and similar projects, including the collection of data, interviewing of witnesses and preparation of interview summaries. Assists in implementing and compliance with document retention directives. Serves as primary contact, under attorney supervision, for records management inquiries and projects throughout the company. Conducts legal research. Assists as required on budgeting and calendaring duties. Other responsibilities and duties as required and assigned. Undergraduate degree is needed. Paralegal certificate and/or comparable practical experience as a litigation paralegal in a corporation or law firm is strongly preferred. Notary license, is a plus . Should have 5+ years of paralegal experience working in the litigation department of a law firm or a corporate litigation department. General knowledge of the litigation process with emphasis on discovery and the subpoena process is needed. Strong written and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization is essential. Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as various electronic discovery review platform is needed. Exemplary organizational skills for prioritzing and handling mulitiple projects and task is essential.
