Animal Cruelty Prosecution Project Intern The intern will work directly with the Animal Cruelty Prosecution Project. This Project provides prosecutors and allied professionals with the necessary resources and training to adequately prosecute animal cruelty and fighting cases. Works with an advisory council of leading national experts to develop innovative publications and an annual conference on issues regarding animal cruelty prosecution. Will be responsible for conducting various research requested by attorneys and assisting on projects as needed. Projects may include assisting in the drafting of amicus briefs, editing and possibly contributing to Association newsletters, and preparing materials for national prosecutor conferences and trainings. Other duties may include drafting documents and updating or maintaining media or social media outlets.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: A current college or law student. Must have keen research and legal analysis skills preferably with experience or interest in a government or prosecutor’s office. Other non-profit or policy experience is also desired. An interest in criminal justice, specifically in prosecution of animal cruelty.
